Turkey and Cheese Pinwheels
These turkey pinwheels are a quick and tasty option for lunch. Kids love them and they can be prepared ahead of time and packed in a lunchbox.
I struggle for new ideas to feed my hungry kids for lunch day after day.
At least during the summer, I don’t have to worry about packing lunchboxes. But when 11:30 rolls around and everyone starts to get hungry, it’s nice to have a plan in mind. Sometimes I need easy but not the usual peanut butter and jelly, quesadillas, fruit/veggies or leftover mac and cheese.
We always have tortillas and pinwheels are so easy but so different from the same old sandwich. My daughter calls these turkey roll-ups and they are one of her favorite lunches.
I like to use a deli turkey with no added nitrates or nitrites to be just a little bit healthier. You could also use ham for a ham and cheese pinwheel.
During the school year, I pack these in my kids’ lunchboxes and they hold up really well. You can make these the night before and refrigerate.

These look so healthy and easy! I love Applegate Farms, we eat their lunch meat and bacon and sausages all the time!
Applegate Farms is the best. I love their chicken apple sausage, too. It’s good for breakfast, or even added to some pasta for dinner!

Roll ups are the best! They are so fast and so easy, yet kids love ’em. I’ve never met someone who didn’t like turkey and cheese 🙂
Turkey and cheese makes a great lunch, and roll-ups are so much more fun than a sandwich, right? These are simple but delish!
SO fun! Everything is better in a cute little roll. 🙂
These are totally more fun than a turkey and cheese sandwich!
